Initially founded by Morris Greene as a scrap business specializing in ship decommissioning, Capital Iron has evolved over the decades into one of Canada's most distinctive one-stop Home stores.

The Capital Iron building, erected in 1863, holds the prestigious designation as a Heritage Canada historical site, symbolizing its integral place in Victoria's rich history. In 2022, local entrepreneur Fred Aram acquired the business, ushering in a new era characterized by a transformation into the largest one-stop shop for premium home fashion products in Western Canada. This transformation encompasses an extensive array of home furniture and appliances, including hot tubs, saunas, barbecues, grills, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, indoor and outdoor furniture, mattresses and bedding, as well as kitchen and laundry appliances from leading brands.
