Capital Iron Gallery can service all appliances that are sold to our customers under warranty.
We also do out-of-warranty appliance service for our customers and customers of other retailers.
Note* We do not provide appliance repair advice and cannot do a diagnostic of the fault of your appliance over the phone, as our service clerk is not an experienced appliance technician.
Our service rates are as follows:
a) $149.99 plus GST per visit, up to one hour maximum. If it takes more than one hour per visit, there will be additional charge of $1.50 per minute.
Most repair cases need at least two visits. First visit is normally to diagnose the issue and find out what part is needed. The second visit will be to bring the part/s required to fix the unit.
b) Cost of parts required to fix your appliance is extra charge
c) If you have a second appliance at the same location, there is an extra $75.00 for each additional appliance.
d) If your appliance repair requires a second person to help the technician, there will be an additional $75 fee added to the quote. This includes stacked washers or dryers, built in wall ovens, or built in refrigerators

Parts
Due to the amount of parts that are brand and type specific we are not able to have many items in stock. At the time of booking service, please provide specific information such as error codes, model and serial number and detailed description of the issue so that our technician would be able to look up the service bulletins and schematics of the appliance ahead of time. We will not be able to bring the part that customer specifies. Our technicians only order the parts after proper inspection and diagnosis of the appliance. If you have the part or you think you know the part that’s required to fix the appliance, we will not be able to help you with your appliance repair.
What to expect from your Service Call
- You will receive a call between 3 PM to 6 PM, the two days before the service call and will be given a two-hour period within which our technician will show up at your home.
- Our technician will meet you within the two-hour time line on the scheduled day of your service to diagnose, and if possible repair your appliances in the first visit. Your initial $150 will cover up to a maximum of one hour of service to your appliance. We strive to complete repairs on the first service call however If parts are needed, you will be given an estimate of the cost of part and time to order the parts and come back to finish the repair. We will estimate the cost of your repair before proceeding with any work, which will include another visit fee of $150 up to one hour, plus cost of parts. If it takes more than one hour per visit, there will be an additional charge of $1.50 per minute.
- Please note there may be more than one part needed to repair your appliance. If replacing a part would not fix your appliance and more parts will be needed, additional visits and costs will be required.
- All labour and parts are guaranteed for 90 days.
- First visit fee is due upon booking, and full payment for parts will be required before we order any part. Second and consequent visit fees will be due immediately after the visit is done and will be collected by our technician on site.
Service Call Cancellation and No Shows:
- All service calls can be cancelled up to 2 business days before the service date excluding weekends and statutory holidays with no penalty. Service calls on Mondays must be cancelled by end of the day on Wednesday so that we can fill the allocated spot by other service appointments. All service calls cancelled later than 2 business days before the call or if our technician shows up and customer is not available, there will not be any refund.
Service Calls under Warranty
- Manufacturer warranty only covers the fault of the appliance. If machine malfunction is due to external reasons or customer misuse, customer should pay regular service fees
Appliance Replacement Rebate
If you choose not to repair your appliance after having it diagnosed by one of our technicians, bring a copy of your paid work to the store to receive a $75.00 credit towards the purchase of a new unit.
Sealed System Repair on Refrigeration and Heat Pump Products
Due to flammability of the refrigerant gas in refrigeration products and heat pump dryers, we do not do sealed system repair at customer’s house. All such repairs must be done in our shop and transportation cost is responsibility of the customer. It is also a very labour intensive and time consuming repair with very high cost of repair and hig probability of issue reoccurring. We do not recommend sealed system repair on refrigeration and heat pump dryers.
